octoral studies represent the highest academic level that professionals may pursue to become experts in a specialty area and to advance their careers. The main purpose of  doctoral studies is to make a significant contrib ut ion to the development of knowledge in the theoretical and/or practical realms.  As such, exploration, experimentation, analysis, and critical thinking are considered the basic tools that allow doctoral students to seek sol ut ions to problems that challenge the frontiers of knowledge. These tools and academic activities provide the foundation for sol ut ions that impact the social and economic development of society both at the national and international levels.

 

          The objective of a doctoral program is to develop professionals and researchers that will seek creative, innovative and effective sol uti ons to existing and f ut ure problems faced by humanity.

 

          The University of Turabo is at the forefront of research that will allow doctoral program graduates to obtain a global and up-to-date vision of their respective areas of study.
