Major:  Information Systems
Program Type:  Short-Term Faculty-Led (SIFE)

“With the UNE Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team, I had the opportunity to participate in a conference at the Universidad del Golfo de California (UGC) in Los Cabos, Mexico as a presenter along with my SIFE teammates. Our team presented our projects “Dale Vida al Yunque”, “Market Ideas” and the “UNEst” business incubator. The opportunity to participate in this event was enriching for both our SIFE Team and the UGC “Aguilas Emprendedores” entrepreneurship club, with whom we shared our recruitment model and strategies for working on different types of projects.

It was really great for our team to have the opportunity to present our projects. We are very thankful for the kind hospitality we received from the students and Chancellor of the UGC, as well as the time we were able to spend with the UGC “Aguilas Emprendedores” students, which allowed for us to share our experiences and help them strengthen their work team.”

"Studying at UNE over the last 4 years has been an experience and adventure that has provided me with many memorable moments. As an UNE student, I had the opportunity to participate in a week-long community exchange with the Universidad del Golfo de California in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The experience was certainly very rewarding because I was able to learn new customs while enjoying the friendliness and hospitality of the local people in Los Cabos. I believe that this type of interaction with other cultures across borders provides access to new personal and professional opportunities.

In addition to participating in enology and geography classes and representing UNE, my classmates and I were also given the opportunity to participate in local tourist activities, including swimming with dolphins, which was a unique and therapeutic experience that I will never forget. UNE has helped me to grow both spiritually and academically and thanks to my experiences at the university, I am prepared to work anywhere in the world and confront all obstacles and challenges with the attitude of: Yes I can!
