♦ Mission and Vision

♦ Meet Our Staff
The Office of International Affairs was created in 2008. Its creation was specifically based on a recommendation in the university’s 2005 Strategic Plan and Vision, which was developed as a result of the Portugal Declaration signed on October 13th, 2002 by the President and Board of Directors of the Ana G. Mendez University System (AGMUS).  Consistent with the AGMUS 2005 Vision, UNE’s 2005 Internationalization Plan called for the creation of the office to support and facilitate the promotion and development of international projects and programs.

The office plays a vital role in facilitating and guiding internationalization efforts throughout the entire university both domestically and internationally.

The office strives to increase the visibility and recognition of UNE’s commitment to internationalization and to facilitate the creation of national and international partnerships and collaborations that will enable UNE students, faculty and the university community to participate in a broad range of meaningful international education opportunities.

Specifically, the office has prioritized the promotion, development and implementation of six key program areas:
  1. Study Abroad and Education Abroad Programs for Students, Faculty and Administrators
  2. International Education and Scholarship Programs
  3. Fulbright Scholars Programs and Visiting International Scholars and Professionals
  4. Partnerships with Federal Agencies, NGOs, Corporations and other International Organizations
  5. International Agreements and Collaborations with Universities and Institutions Around the World
  6. International Education Grants and External Resources
