With over 15 years of being established, the School based at the main UNE campus at Carolina is constantly improving its curriculum and delivery systems. That’s why we just opened two of our Associate degree programs in Culinary Arts and Hotel Operations at our Cabo Rojo campus.

The School counts with a modern building designed for the teaching of all its programs with four state-of-the-art Kitchen Laboratories, a Bartending Lab, a Demo Kitchen, a Teaching Restaurant, a Multipurpose Mini Ballroom, and 8 modern classrooms with wireless internet access. The $8MM facility clearly demonstrates the University’s long-term commitment with the vision of the José A. (Tony) Santana International School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts “To become the leading educational Institution for the hospitality industry in the Caribbeanâ€. Our School at the Carolina UNE campus is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA); the Middles States Association; the American Culinary Federation (ACF), and licensed by the Puerto Rico Education Council.

Each year new and trained staff is needed to accommodate the demand of capable and well educated staff within the Hospitality and Culinary Arts industries. As a result of this exciting and sustainable growth in hospitality industry, graduates of higher education hospitality and culinary arts programs have excellent career opportunities when they combine practical work experience along with their formal education.
