The Child Development Center is an innovative project created by Universidad Metropolitana. It offers educational and childcare services to the children of UMET students and employees. The Center operates thanks to the collaboration of Project Head Start and funding received from the Family Department.
Service Hours run from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday to Friday. Student teachers and healthcare professionals tend to the children and provide them with nutritious snacks.
Children participate in a preschool curriculum that allows them to select activities designed to develop necessary learning skills. The recreational activity program includes indoor and outdoor activities, as well as passive and musical games.
Parents and students of the Department of Education’s preschool program may observe the activities.
