Department of Social Sciences
The Department of Social Sciences, Metropolitan University confers the degrees of Bachelor of Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Social Work and a BA in Psychology. Work is now in two new academic programs: Master in Criminal Justice, specializing in the Prevention of Crime and Delinquency and Corrections Administration and a Masters in psychology with a concentration in Counseling.
The Department is strongly oriented to link the academic experiences of the classroom with social inclusion, so that we strive to be highly competitive academic professionals, committed to social and community welfare. The programs of Social Work, Psychology and Criminal Justice are designed to train professionals thoughtful, sensitive and competitive, able to meet the large demand for solutions to problems, social, political and economic of the country.
The Department is firmly aimed at providing students with a creative, dynamic and critical to enable them to develop in full harmony, respecting cultural diversity, politics, social class and gender.
