Welcome to the School of Health Sciences!

Our academic offerings include Bachelor’s and Associate’s degrees in Nursing Science, Bachelor and Associate degrees in Respiratory Therapy, as well as postgraduate Certificates in Case Management.

Although the programs are the oldest and most recognized in the institution, the School was created as an academic division in 2004.

This new structure is designed to respond to the challenges of providing healthcare services through the development of new academic programs of excellence that respond to the island’s needs.

The School’s academic programs are designed to develop future healthcare professionals for Puerto Rico, and provide professional, technical, and personal competencies that provide students with the necessary skills to face the healthcare challenges of the 21st Century.

The holistic development of our students is achieved through the personal attention of our faculty who provide academic assistance both in and outside the classroom and participate in student associations, conferences, mentoring and community-related services.

The School of Health Sciences programs combine theoretical content with diverse clinical experiences in a number of healthcare scenarios. These in turn allow for the development of competencies in the given discipline under the direct supervision of an experienced professor that has at least a Master’s degree.

The programs are offered during daytime and evening hours in a variety of modes to benefit our students. They are also accredited by local and international agencies and equip our graduates to work in PR as well as the US.
