Dr. Juan Otero Serrano serves as Dean of the School of Business Administration. Dr. Otero Serrano holds a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Prior to his appointment as Dean he served as Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration, Universidad Metropolitana, and Dean of Student Affairs at Bayamón Central University. His distinguished career in Academia also benefits from his decade-long experience as an environmental consultant and sales management professional in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Dr. Teresita Ibarra Pérez serves as Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration. Dr. Ibarra holds a PhD in Entrepreneurial & Managerial Development, with a specialization in International Business, from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, San Germán Campus. Prior to her appointment as Associate Dean, she served Associate Professor at the College of Business Administration at the University of Puerto Rico, Carolina campus, where she excelled for her ability as proposal writer, her dedication to student alumni associations, and her leadership in promoting community micro-entrepreneurship. Prof. Edwin A. Ortiz Mundo serves as Administrative Director for the School of Business Administration. Prof. Ortiz Mundo is currently working on his doctoral dissertation in Marketing at Argosy University, Sarasota. He also holds an MBA degree in Management from Universidad Metropolitana, and has nearly two decades of teaching and administrative experience in educational institutions. Mrs. Isabel J. Pérez serves as Director for the Graduate Program. Mrs. Pérez holds a MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix, Puerto Rico Campus. She is responsible for enrollment management and academic advising for the Graduate population. Prior to her appointment at Universidad Metropolitana, she served as a Marketing Officer for University of Phoenix and Admissions Officer at Puerto Rico Junior College. Prof. Orlando Rivera Trujillo serves as Director of Student Affairs. Professor Rivera Trujillo holds an MBA degree in Management from Universidad Metropolitana. With almost two decades of teaching and administrative experience in educational institutions, Professor Rivera Trujillo is responsible for enrollment management and for coordinating student referrals to the various services offered by UMET to the undergraduate population. Prof. Rivera Trujillo's experience in the financial services sector prior to joining UMET also enables him to contribute to academic program development. His e-mail address is: orrivera@suagm.edu


Mrs. Griselle M. Santiago Nieves serves as the School's Undergraduate Academic Advisor. Mrs. Santiago Nieves holds a MEd degree with a specialization in Education Supervision and Administration. She is responsible for assisting the Director of Student Affairs with undergraduate enrollment and student referrals. Beyond her decade long experience in educational institutions, Mrs. Santiago Nieves also has a decade of professional experience as Project Manager and Account Executive in a Fortune 200 environment. Prof. Ana A. Candal Vicente serves as Coordinator for the Office Administration Program. Prof. Candal holds a MA degree in Business Education from New York University. She has over thirty years of experience in higher education, and has been part of Ana G. Méndez University System since its days as Puerto Rico Junior College. She is also actively engaged in the placement process, helping many Office Administration Program students to find a job during the practicum phase of the program. Strongly committed to integrating the most advanced information technology to her courses, she was a member of the first Faculty group to complete the Faculty Development for the Integration of Technology (FDIT) program. Prof. Nivia Emeric Catarineau serves as Coordinator for the Information Systems Program. With two decades of service at Universidad Metropolitana, Professor Emeric Catarineau holds an MS degree in Information Systems and Sciences from Syracuse University. She is also a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer and was a member of the first Faculty group to complete the Faculty Development for the Integration of Technology (FDIT) program. She is currently working on her PhD in Information Systems through SUAGM's consortium with the Universidad de San Pablo-CEU, Madrid, Spain. Her e-mail is: nemeric@suagm.edu


Dr. Eliel Irizarry serves as Coordinator for the Entrepreneurship Program. Dr. Irizarry holds a PhD in Entrepreneurial Development and Management, with a specialization in International and Interregional Businesses, and a Master in International Business from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, Metro Campus. Prior to joining UMET, he held various Faculty appointments within the University of Puerto Rico system. He also gained extensive private and public sector experience prior to joining Academia. Prof. Katherine López Keelan, CPA, serves as Coordinator for the Accounting Program. Professor López Keelan holds an MBA degree in Accounting from Inter-American University, Metro Campus. She also was a member of the first Faculty group to complete the Faculty Development for the Integration of Technology (FDIT) program, and has served our community in numerous administrative positions, including Director of the School's Undergraduate Program. She is currently working on her PhD in International Business Management through SUAGM's consortium with the Universidad de San Pablo-CEU, Madrid, Spain. Her e-mail is: klopez@suagm.edu


Prof. Pura Ramos Arce serves as Coordinator for the Marketing Program and the Marketing Student Chapter of UMET's Association of Business Students. Professor Ramos Arce holds a MBA degree with a specialization in Marketing from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, Metro Campus. She also was a member of the first Faculty group to complete the Faculty Development for the Integration of Technology (FDIT) program. Aside from her academic responsibilities, Prof. Ramos Arce is an active entrepreneur with over thirty years of experience in small business and sales management. Her e-mail is: pramos@suagm.edu


Prof. Ingrid Tirado Ubides serves as coordinator for the Finance and Economics Program. Prof. Tirado holds a MA degree in Economics from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, Metro Campus. She also was a Mentor for the Faculty Development for the Integration of Technology (FDIT) program, and has served our community in numerous administrative positions, including Dean of the School of Business Administration and Director of the Graduate Program. Prior to joining UMET, she served nearly a decade as Economist for the Puerto Rico Department of Labor and Human Resources. She is currently working on her PhD in International Business Management through SUAGM's consortium with the Universidad de San Pablo-CEU, Madrid, Spain. Her e-mail is: itirado@suagm.edu


Mrs. Lydia Rodriguez Guerrios and Ms. Jelmarie Guzm√°n Gonz√°lez serve as the School's Administrative Assistants. Lydia and Jelmarie are the heart and soul of the School of Business. They will answer all your questions about the School's programs, its staff and Faculty.
