Admission Requirements

Incoming Students

Admissions Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • CEEB or SAT admissions exam (if under age 25)
  • Interview (required by certain programs)

Required Documents:

  • Official High School Credit Transcript
  • CEEB or SAT Results
  • $15.00 Admissions Fee (non-refundable) in check or money order payable to Universidad Metropolitana.
  • Immunization Test Results (if under age 21)
  • Copy of Social Security Card
  • Foreign students require a residence (green) card or student visa

Readmission Student

Admissions Requirements:

  • Retention Index required by the institution
  • Academic Index required by the institution

Required Documents:

  • $15.00 Admissions Fee (non-refundable) by check or money order payable to Universidad Metropolitana.

Transfer Students

Admissions Requirements:

  • Retention Index required by the institution
  • Academic Index required by the institution
  • Studied at a duly accredited university

Required Documents:

  • Two (2) credit transcripts from previous universities
  • Recommendation from the Dean of the previous university --the form will be provided by our institution
  • Catalogs of previous institutions, if necessary
  • $15.00 Admissions Fee (non-refundable) by check or money order payable to Universidad Metropolitana

Transitory Students

Admissions Requirements:

  • Student is registered at another institution that does not offer a course that our institution provides

Required documents:

  • Permission from the student’s institution
  • $15.00 Admissions Fee

Special Student

Admissions Requirements:

  • Earned a Bachelor’s degree from a duly accredited university

Required Documents:

  • Credit transcript from the institution where the university degree was obtained
  • $15.00 Admissions Fee

Graduate Level Students

Admissions Index:

  • School of Business Administration: 2.50
  • School of Education: 2.50
  • School of Environmental Affairs: 2.75
  • School of Health Sciences: 2.50

New Admissions Student

Admissions Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a duly accredited institution
  • Departmental Interview
  • EXADEP Exam (Only for the School of Environmental Affairs and the Education Graduate School if grade point average is less than 3.00)

Required Documents:

  • Credit transcript from the university where the Bachelor’s degree was obtained
  • $25.00 Admissions Fee
  • Departmental Interview
  • 3 letters of recommendation - only required by the Business Administration and Environmental Affairs Schools

Readmissions Students

Special Students

Admissions Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from a duly accredited institution

Required Documents:

  • Credit Transcript from the university where the Master’s degree was obtained
  • $25 Admissions Fee (non-refundable)

Transfer Students

Admissions Requirements:

  • Index required by the institution
  • Studied at a duly accredited university
  • Earned a minimum of 6 credits from the previous university

Required Documents:

  • Credit transcript from the previous institution
  • $25.00 Fee
  • Departmental Interview
