Welcome to the School of Science and Technology’s Web-Page. We hope that we will be able to assist you by providing easy and convenient access to information about our undergraduate and graduate programs, the research being done in our School, as well as our faculty, staff and students. The School is in a period of rapid development as shown by the recent start up of our doctoral program, the creation of a research institute and the significant increase in external research funds being brought into the School. Our WEB site has also become one of the instruments that we use to share information with our faculty, support staff, students, and our community in dealing with the challenges of the new century. The mission of Universidad del Turabo (UT) is to provide higher and professional education to individuals who seek both graduate and undergraduate opportunities for professional development.

The School of Science at UT responds to the educational needs of a society undergoing rapid economic growth and technological development by providing a course of study aimed at the achievement of a thorough knowledge of high technology and at the acquisition of professional competence.

Wide ranges of electives are offered to ensure a well-rounded and complete education.

Our faculty is committed in aiding the student to achieve maximum professional development.

The objectives of the School of Science are:

1. To maximize the student's scientific knowledge.
2. To develop the student's ability to think out solutions for contemporary scientific problems.
3. To motivate and develop research at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
4. To establish joint research projects with other institutions, national laboratories and industries.
5. To establish faculty and student exchange programs with other institutions.
