As part of the reaccreditation process of the Universidad Metropolitana (UMET), one of the institutions of the Ana G. Méndez University System (SUAGM), the South Florida Campus received a visit the week of February 27th 2012 by the Evaluation Committee of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The visiting members consisted of the Dr. Ruth Lugo, who presides over the Evaluation Committee, and Dr. Raymond Torres-Santos.
The UMET has been accredited by the MSCH since 1980. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education evaluates 14 quality standards under the pillars of institutional context and educational effectiveness as established by the Commission and which all accredited institutions must comply with.
We thank all the University community (students, faculty, associates and staff) for their collaboration with the visit.
