Capital Area Campus
Is conveniently located at the Westfield Wheaton Shopping Center, 11160 Veirs Mill Road, Wheaton in Montgomery County. This site is approximately 20,000 square feet and houses classrooms, laboratories, multi-purpose meeting room, Learning Resource Center, Student Lounge, faculty and administrative offices. All programs that require labs are equipped as needed for instruction. The Campus meets all state and county requirements and codes. A Nursing Skills Laboratory has been equipped with the necessary materials and equipment to allow students to practice as needed. There is 25 station computer laboratory for courses that require computer access. The computer laboratory has smart boards, printers and projectors installed and the classrooms are equipped with ceiling projectors for faculty and student use. There is also a fully equipped Multimedia and a faculty meeting room. Twenty additional computers are available for student use in the Learning Resources Center and classrooms. The Campus has an internal wireless network that connects all computer equipment, with an administrative network for all offices and an academic network for the computer laboratories and the Learning Resources Center. Also, there is a Hot Spot that allows the students to connect their own computers to internet. All administrative offices have voice and data connections and equipment. A double T1 connection allows for a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that provides efficient access to Internet for all Campus users, to the BANNER student information system servers in Puerto Rico, on AGMUS system-wide intranet, and fast and efficient telephone connection with the main campus in Puerto Rico and other centers.
South Florida Campus
This campus is located at 3520 Enterprise Way, Miramar, Florida. The South Florida Campus located in Miramar, Florida, services the South Florida area, mainly in the counties of Miami-Dade and Broward. The Campus has thirteen classrooms, two Nursing labs, one Computer lab, one Language lab, one library, administration offices, a conference room, in addition to a student and faculty lounge for a total of area of 30,180 square feet. In addition, as a service to our Nursing students and faculty we have a lease agreement with the Pembroke Pines Charter High School for the use of their Biology and Chemistry laboratory for our Nursing sciences coursework; with the necessary additional materials and equipment provided by AGMUS. It was the second AGMUS campus that opened within the continental United States. The campus offers academic programs from the AGMUS three universities, UT, UNE and UMET, in a dual language format to the over two million Hispanics living within the two counties in South Florida. The physical set up is similar to the described for Maryland. A Nursing Laboratory has recently been added with the necessary equipment to teach the BSN and MSN-FNP courses. The campus is expanding their physical facilities and has acquired additional space (17,000 square feet) to build more classrooms and laboratories.
Metro Orlando Campus
This campus is located at 5601 South Semoran Blvd., Suite # 55, Orlando, FL with service to the Central Florida area, mainly the three counties of Orange, Osceola and Seminole. The campus has nineteen classrooms, one Pharmacy lab, one Nursing lab, one Computer lab, one Language lab, one Library, administration offices, a conference room, in addition to a student and a faculty lounge for a total of area of 41,814 square feet. In addition, as a service to our Nursing students and faculty we have a lease agreement with the Orange County Public School District for the use of their Biology and Chemistry laboratory for Nursing Sciences coursework; with the necessary additional materials and equipment provided by AGMUS. This was the first AGMUS campus opened within the continental United States. This year the campus continues celebrating its continuous success offering higher level education, in a dual language format, to over the 500 thousand Hispanics living in the three-county-area. The Metro Orlando campus offers academic programs from the AGMUS’s three universities, UT, UNE and UMET. The UT academic offering will include the BSN and a Skills Laboratory has been equipped with the necessary materials and equipment to teach the BSN courses.
Tampa Bay Campus
The Tampa Bay Campus (TBC) is located 3655 West Waters Ave. in Hillsborough County. TBC facilities currently have ten classrooms, one Language lab, one Nursing lab, one Pharmacy Technician lab, a Learning Resource Center, a Student lounge, and administrative and faculty offices for a total area of 18,715 square feet. In addition, as a service to our Nursing students and faculty we have a lease agreement with the Tampa Catholic High School for the use of their biology and chemistry laboratory for our Nursing sciences coursework; with the necessary additional materials and equipment provided by AGMUS.
