Responsible for managing collections related to student accounts, public and private agencies, companies, individuals, Perkins NDSL and nursing loans granted to students. As part of its management duties, it sends account statements, collection letters, makes collection calls and works with collection agencies. Also coordinates collection campaigns with the Telemarketing Department and visits the campuses to plan collection strategies. The Collections Office is also in charge of coordinating efforts with external collection agencies used by the Ana G. Méndez University System.
The Collections Office is also responsible for invoicing and depositing income received by the Ana G. Méndez University System for non-student services and the reconciliation of same in the General Accounting Office. Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
