Greetings! The School of Technical Studies welcomes you to our Web page. We are proud to present our schools, which are dedicated to offering short courses. Social and demographic profiles have caused a change in economic and educational priorities for our students, with these changes creating a demand for short courses that facilitate entry into the growing workforce.

Our commitment to the community is to provide educational alternatives that provide service and quality training to our students so they can quickly find a job. We invite you to explore our curricular content. It would also be a pleasure to meet you, provide a full orientation, and help you reach your academic and career goals.

From here you can access the Technical Studies pages by university. Click on the site link for the university you prefer:

Universidad del Este is AGMUS's youngest institution, with its creation resting on the historical and educational prestige of Puerto Rico Junior College - the first institution on the island to offer Associate Degree programs (1949).

Originally established as a secondary campus of the former Puerto Rico Junior College (1969), Universidad del Turabo (UT) became autonomous in 1972 under the name Colegio Universitario del Turabo (CUT). In 1982 the school was authorized to change its name to Universidad del Turabo (UT), and began offering its first graduate programs in Education and Business Administration.

UMET was originally established as a secondary campus of the former Puerto Rico Junior College (1969). In 1980 the school gained autonomy under the name Colegio Universitario Metropolitano (CUM) and in 1985 received authorization to change its name to Universidad Metropolitana (UMET). In 1988 it offered its first graduate programs in Education and Business Administration.
