Your future is AHORA!

As a pioneer in meeting the educational needs of adults, the Ana G. Méndez University System continues its tradition with AHORA - a fast-paced program that responds to the professional needs of adults who are looking to complete their university degrees.

The accelerated program at the School of Professional Studies uses the internationally recognized model created by Regis University in Colorado, with comparable quality in ten U.S. universities. The student will participate in a unique educational process that is different from traditional methods, whereby the student's professional experience is used in the classroom to create an interactive, dynamic, and challenging environment.

The success of this program is seen in the development of adults who value continued learning and desire to increase their participation in the job community.

The accelerated program known in Puerto Rico as the AHORA program is offered at the following institutions:

Carolina
Manatí
Cabo Rojo
Yauco
Utuado
Santa Isabel

Gurabo
Cayey
Isabela
Yabucoa
Ponce

Cupey
Aguadilla
Bayamón
Jayuya

We also offer an accelerated bilingual program in Orlando, Florida.

Vision

To be leaders in bilingual accelerated adult education both locally and internationally. We will be recognized for excellence and relevance in academic programs, integrated services, the application of emerging technology, and the high-level fortification of competencies that enable students to be effective in the globalized job market and become learners for life.

Mission

AHORA students participate in a unique educational process that is different from traditional teaching methods. Professional experiences are incorporated into the classroom to create an interactive, dynamic, and challenging environment. Faculty members also have professional experience and are prepared to assist adults and serve as educational facilitators in an innovative way. AHORA is exclusively designed for the adult student, providing a professional atmosphere, rapid service, and personalized study programs. The success of this program is seen in the development of adults who value continued learning and desire to increase their participation in the job community.

To achieve its Mission, the School of Professional Studies:

  • Will encourage adults to value continued learning and increase their contribution to the work community.

  • Will facilitate the efforts of adult students in reaching their educational goals.
