Infectious diseases are a recurring theme in every clinical setting.  The span of secondary effects of these diseases very well includes every organ system.  Health practitioners and ancillary staff require in-depth discussions of these secondary effects and their ever changing diagnostic and management modalities.

This symposium will highlight the advances in research and management of infectious diseases caused by the hepatitis viruses, HIV, human papilloma viruses as well as other opportunistic microorganisms.  Topics include management of HIV, hepatitis, and HPV related disorders of the liver, female reproductive system, the integument, and CNS.  The activity is designed for physicians in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, and all allied health professionals involved in the care of patients with related infectious diseases.

The list of speakers ranges from researchers and specialists in academia and private practice from Puerto Rico and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
